Components Simulation

Objective
Simulate the effect of the forces on a gear
Understanding the Analysis
A gear transfers torque through tooth contact. A useful first check converts torque to tangential force at the pitch radius before considering tooth bending and local contact stress. The images below document this class simulation; without the original material, contacts, constraints and load definitions, a colour plot is not enough to establish a numerical safety margin.
Testing and Real-World Use
This could be tested by checking torque-to-force conversion, support reactions and mesh convergence under explicitly documented gear loads. Such checks are useful for preparing credible mechanical simulations, although the pictured result cannot be reproduced without its original geometry, materials and boundary conditions.
