This is a simulation of a workcell focusing on moving pieces from one conveyor belt to another one. The project was done using FactoryIO’s Function Block Diagram (FBD). The main purpose of this team project was managing multiple actuators and sensors at the same time resulting in a combinational system of Industrial Automation.
Testing and Real-World Use
This could be tested in simulation by withholding grip or position confirmation and checking that the sequence does not advance merely because a timer expires. State-based coordination is useful for pick-and-place cells, while the demonstration does not constitute a validated industrial safety circuit.
